Brief presentation of approach and motivation.
The starting point for my artistic work in public spaces lies in the character of the place and its users. The human appeal and the individual’s encounter with the place are of central importance to me. I want to create an enhanced experience for visitors in relation to the place’s original expression and function. Regardless of the visitors’ age or background, I want to take advantage of each individual’s curiosity and spirit of discovery and inspire them in their everyday lives. I strive for qualities in my works that make people want to return to discover more. My works can be place-making and have an orientation function, both in small and large contexts. The idea born from the encounter with the place guides the choice of materials and techniques. Production often takes place in collaboration with subcontractors and consultants. Durability over time and safety, with minimal maintenance, are a given. I am accustomed to working in groups with architects, contractors, users, and artists.
